Carrier Oils

Apricot Oil: obtained from the dry kernel of the apricot fruit; rich in vitamins A and E as well as Oleic and Linoleic essential fatty acids

 Coconut Oil: Certified organic; High content of saturated fatty acids, primarily Lauric Acid, is solid at room temperature and highly resistant to rancidity

Grape Seed Oil: Extracted from the seeds of the grape and can be applied topically to retain moisture in the skin, promote skin repair and elasticity and treat damaged hair.

Jojoba Oil: A liquid wax that closely resembles the makeup of sebum (your skin’s natural oil)

Palm Kernel Oil: high in lauric acid and excellent at moisturizing skin; traditionally used in African black soap

Rice Bran Oil: High in Omega 6 fatty acids and Vitamin; Is also easily absorbed by the skin

Shea Butter: Certified organic & fair trade; Has a comedogenic rating of 0 which means that it does not clog pores; promotes skin elasticity

Vitamin E Oil: Antioxidant that works to increase the shelf life of other oils

Additional Ingredients

Cellulose: A naturally occurring component found in the cell wall of plants

Cetyl Alcohol: Fatty alcohols are non-drying and used as emollients in numerous types of cosmetics to increase the viscosity of emulsions

Fragrance: If you see “fragrance” listed in the ingredients, it is a phthalate free synthetic fragrance. We can easily customize any product by removing the fragrance if you wish. 

Glycerin: A plant-based humectant; we only use naturally derived vegetable glycerin

Mica: A powder used to add color to our soap

Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol: These two ingredients work together to form a broad-spectrum preservative also known as Optiphen 

Polysorbate 80: Emulsifier; Used to mix oil and water

Potassium Hydroxide (Potash): Combines with oil and water to create soap; Please note that the lye is no longer harmful after the saponification process; It is impossible to create a detergent-free soap without lye

Sodium Hydroxide: Combines with oil and water to create soap; Please note that the lye is no longer harmful after the saponification process; It is impossible to create a detergent-free soap without lye

Sodium Lactate: Helps maintain the skin’s natural moisture balance
